The catchwords of the dance festival HOMMIK 2013 are freshness and novelty, present-day reflections, daring experimenting, and approachability. The performances that the dance artists will be sharing with the audience react to today’s needs and present time and people’s minds.
The publication ‘Fresh Tracks Europe: innovation in dance for young audiences’ touches on the most important developments in European dance for young audiences, shares the expertise of various experienced producers, and offers a glimpse into the working practices of a number of participating choreographers. It also sketches an outline for the future of youth dance in Europe, for there undoubtedly will be a sequel to the initiatives of the new network Fresh Tracks Europe.
